GO DOWN ROCKIN' - Waylon Jennings
[T.J White/L. White]
Transcribed by Casey Newbold - Kerr (waylon@ihug.com.au).
Thanks to Don Gumbert (alwaysbeencrazy@hotmail.com) for suggesting the G for
the third line(s). I was thinkin' it was an A7 all the way through till he told
me otherwise :-)

This song comes from Waylon's new 'Never Say Die - LIVE' album (with his
Waymore Blues band). It's a really cool CD, and if you don't have it, get it
NOW! It's on Sony's 'Lucky Dog' label.

It's kinda roughly done, but it's readable, I think :o)

Enjoy!

Verse 1:
	E
One foot on the mountain, the other one in the stream

All kinds of trouble and I'm caught in between
       	        A A7 G E
I can't change my way of doin'; it's gonna lay like it falls
        	  B7 A7 E
If I can't go down rockin', I ain't gonna go down at all

Verse 2:
	E
She was a child of acquired money, had that silver spoon
I knew she had a little wild streak and needed breathing room
If I can't be your sugar daddy, I won't be your Neanderthal
If I can't go down rockin', I ain't gonna go down at all

CHORUS:
      E
Spent a little time in the congregation, that's how I was raised
Spent a little time in trouble, but I do have my ways
	                   A A7 G E
	                                           Won't be your Neanderthal
	              B7 A7 E
      .................................................................

Verse 3:
       E
Tonight I had good intentions of crawling into bed
Resting my body and clearing my head
But, just about midnight, I got that telephone call
If I can't go down rockin', I ain't gonna go down at all

CHORUS:
       E
Spent a little time in the congregation, that's how I was raised
Spent a little time in trouble, but I do have my ways
	 A A7 G E
      ......................................................
If I can't go down rockin', I ain't gonna go down at all

	         B7 A7 E
If I can't go down rockin', I ain't gonna go down at all
