Intro: G, Am, C, D, G,

Verse 1:
G Am
I was supposed to be the rock you could stand on
C G D
Stronger than an old oak tree
G Am
But all you ever wanted was the one thing
                C D G
I never let you see The tender side of me
Em C
I tried to be a mountain solid and strong
       G
All it took was your leavin'
   D N/C
To know I was wrong

Chorus:
D G C
A man ain't made of stone
                    G
A man ain't made of steel
                     D
The way I feel right now
  C G
I thought I'd never feel
                 C D G
Sometimes all it takes is facing the night alone
                    C
And that's when you know
  D G
A man ain't made of stone

Am C D G

Verse 2:
G Am
In this world of mine there was no room for weakness
  C G D
I covered every crack in the wall
          G Am
But there ain't no way that I can keep this secret
C D G
'Cause when you go, like Jerico, I fall
Em
You thought I wouldn't shatter
        C
Would I even care
            G
But there's more to what I'm made of
          D
Than this broken heart can bear

Chorus
G C D G
Sometimes all it takes is facing the night alone
                C
That's when you know
  D G
A man ain't made of stone
                    C
And that's when you know
  D G
A man ain't made of stone

This is a simple version of the song, I left out lead up and lead down chords
from Am to C, and G to Em to make thing's easier.. Remember to capo 1 and play
the chords as shown and you shouldn't have any problems.. Enjoy!!
