Come A Little Closer
Dierks Bentley
Capo 3rd Fret
D G D
Come a little closer baby, I feel like laying you down
D G D
On a bed of sweet surrender, where we can work it all out
Bm G Bm G
There ain’t nothing that love can’t fix, girl it’s right here at our fingertips
D G D
So come a little closer baby, I feel like laying you down
D G D
Come a little closer baby, I feel like letting go
D G D
Of everything that stands between us, and the love we used to know
Bm G Bm G
I wanna touch you like a crimson red and let it wash all the hurt away
D G D
So come a little closer baby, I feel like letting go
***(This is where I don't know the chords)****
If there’s still a chance, then take my hand, and we’ll steal away
Up into the night, to make things right, the suns gonna rise on a better day
SOLO
D G D
Come a little closer baby, I feel like stripping it down
D G D
Back to the basics of you and me, and what makes the world go round
Bm G Bm G
Every inch of you against my skin, I wanna be stronger than we’ve ever been
D G D
So come a little closer, I feel like stripin it down
D G D
Come a little closer baby, just a little bit closer
D G D
Come a little closer baby, I feel like layin you down
SOLO

| ron4pres - 2005-08-24 | "Crimson Red" is actually "Cleansing rain"
The chords sound great. I add a G between the ending D of each line and before the new line's D.
Anyone have any suggestions for how to make this song sound a little more full with a single acoustic guitar?

| windurk - 2005-09-26 | It sounds more full to me to play it w/ Capo 1 and use the key of E. My key of E is what I learned as "praise band E". The chords sound hard but are really very simple and transpose straight from D to E.
D=E5(no3)
G=A2
Bm=C#m7
I think the chords in the blank space of this tab go something like this (not exactly but close I think...relative to capo)
A2 Bsus4 E5(no3)
If there's still a chance, then take my hand, and we'll steal away
A2 Bsus4 F#m* Bsus4
Up into the night, to make things right, the sun gonna rise on a better day

| countryfelix - 2005-12-11 | The correct chords for the bridge is as follows in whatever key you shoose to play this in. I play it in "F" so-- 4 = Bb, 1 = F, 2 = G, and 5 = C
4 1
If there’s still a chance, then take my hand, and we’ll steal away
4 2 5
