"The Fox" is a really cool song done by a new group called Nickel Creek.
This is the only record that I know of they have out. Here are the lyrics
and notes I have picked out. It is played in G with the k-pole on the
second fret and is played really fast. This is lots of fun to play.
ENJOY!!!!

| jrouistiti - 2006-08-15 | I thought it should be noted that Nickel Creek didn't actually write this song. It's credited as "an old song" in the 1973 book version, illustrated by Peter Spier.
A minor correction, as well: "grey goose," rather than "great goose."
I like to play the first D in the second-to-the-last sentence of each part as "G/C," so:
G G/C G D G
Before he reached the town-o, town-o, town-o
C G D G G/C
He'd many a mile to go that night, before he reached the town-o
