(VERSE 1)
G C D G G
As we speak my sisters packing up, the speakers on her stereo. She's
                    C D
out the door on the man she said she'd love forever a couple of years
G C D G(step down to Em)
ago. Now he's a stand up guy and I don't know why she would ever
Em C D G
leave him. I guess we've all got our reasons.

(VERSE 2)
There's a guy we got loading trailers ont eh dock, must be out of his
mind. He's got a couple of degrees from some university, he's way
over qualified. We all wonder what it is about this world that this genius
finds so pleasing. I guess we've all got our reasons.

(BRIDGE)
(down to) Em D G C C G
There's history and mystery underneath our skin. It's all a part of who
        C D
we are and the life we live.

(VERSE 3)
If I ever get to heaven I got one question. I hope the good lord ain't
offended. Make me a world of pain between the cradle and the grave
that's what was intended. Don't have to know why he put the stars in
the sky, or fooled with the change of seasons. I guess we've all go
our reasons.

(VERSE 4)
As we speak my sisters packing up, the speakers on her stereo. She's
out the door on the man she said she'd love forever a couple of years
ago. Now he's a stand up guy and I don't know why she would ever
leave him. I guess we've all got our reasons. I guess we've all got
our reasons.
